The Lip Glosserie Store is my dream come true. One morning, after having another existential crisis that ended with a few too many tears, I, the firefly, decided to do something about my life. I decided to open an online business dedicated to something I am passionate about. Makeup.

You're probably thinking, "Are you insane? During the biggest recession we've seen in decades?". Well, to be honest, I've never been one for sanity. And, I like to take a little risk here and there. But in all seriousness, let me tell you about my story and why I decided to go ahead and pursue my dream.

My first idea had to do with selling Asian cosmetics. I just think there's something special about them. They, like American cosmetics, come in various price ranges and qualities. But I find that the typical drugstore makeup in Asia is much nicer than the stuff you find here. Plus, I think the skincare that comes out of that part of the world is just fantastic (and creative too!). They've come up with revolutionary products like facial sheet masks and BB cream. (You can google that stuff if you're not familiar - trust me, you'll get a ton of results.). But here's the rub. They're really hard to get in the U.S., especially if you don't live anywhere near a major, metropolitan city.

So, my business started on a hunch. That there are people out there who will want to buy these products from a U.S. website, from someone who speaks English, and from someone who can provide top-notch customer service. And that someone is me.

Along the way, I started researching what goes into making beauty products and had the even crazier idea of making my own stuff for the public. I should tell you that I have spent months perfecting my recipes and have taken this new development very seriously. I only want to sell the best so that when you receive your order, you'll not only be happy with what you've received but will look forward to trying out other things I make.

So, there you go. Two wildly different hopes and dreams combined into one website - the Lip Glosserie Store.

My philosophy is to start simple, embrace the grassroots beginnings of my endeavor, and do things right. So, even though it doesn't seem like I have a lot to offer, you can be confident that I believe in what I'm selling now. And in the future, as I develop more recipes and acquire more Asian cosmetics, you can expect the Lip Glosserie Store's listings to grow.
